Last Day of School 2010

Now isn't this the best lookin' group of 12-year-old kids you have ever seen? I have to say that this was my favorite class I have ever taught. I love them all dearly.

(Will and I are in the mix too...we are not so cute...)

Schools out for the Summer

Today was my last day of school for the 2009-2010 school year, and also my last day as a 6th grade teacher. I am moving to 5th grade next year, so this day was full of mixed emotions.
The past two weeks have been filled with tons of fun activities, and these pictures show the fun filled time we have had!

ROCKET DAY:
The day every 6th grader looks forward to. Three full hours of blasting hand built rockets.

6th Grade GraduationSaying my goodbyes to Quin Swallow and Jennifer Heldenbrand
Giving Josh Osmond a hug

They sang "For Good" from Wicked and it sounded amazing. Video Below.

And 2009-2010 So long - now on to 5th grade, reluctantly, slowly, and with a lot of stress.

Movie Posters

I am have always been a huge movie fan. I love all movies, I love reading movie reviews, I love Old Hollywood, I love my weekly people magazine fix, and I love the drama of Hollywood stars. I always have, and I know I always will.

I also LOVE movie posters, and have started collecting them on my computer and using them as my desktop backgrounds. It is fun and it is really interesting to see how posters have changed over the years. Here are some of the ones I have collected, in no particular order:

And then my final poster is a spoof using SPONGE-BOB SQUARE PANTS.

Cotillion 2010

"A Night in Paris" was the theme of this year's 6th grade Cotillion. And a night it was. My favorite class of all time danced the night away, looked beautiful, danced divine, and flirted up a storm. It was such a fun night and I am so sad that this is going to be my last Cotillion.
This year was also special for me because I was able to have my dear friends at Cotillion with me. Kat Wyatt and Kalei Atagi were 6th grade tutors so they were invited to the big night. This made Will happy because that meant Jake Wyatt was also invited.

And now on to the picture and video show...
