High School Musical 3

Rachel Martinez beat me to it, but she should have with great pride be the first to blog about High School Musical 3!

Rachel is the teacher to Skyler, a Canyon Crest Student who is Zac Efron's "childhood flashback" in the movie! I taught Skylar's older sister Jenna who is now a Freshman at Timpview Highschool. Skyler is a 4th grader who is a ball full of energy and a cutie pie.

Canyon Crest is SUPER PROUD of him. And speaking for Rachel and myself - we would like Autographs!

GO SKYLER! GO WILDCATS!

Fall Break

Fall Break was so fun this year. I got to spend 4 full days with Will. It was awesome! I know why I fell in love with him, life could not be better!
Will's parents were in town watching Bailey and Hayden while their parents were on a trip for their 10th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. We did a lot of fun stuff with them including a dinner out with the rest of the family, a trip to the BYU creamery, and a trip to the Springville Art Museum.
Will and I also got a chance to go to the BODY WORLDS exhibit in Salt Lake, which if you have not gone it is AWESOME! I didn't get any pictures because they don't allow cameras in the exhibit, but here is the website.

Here is a collection of pictures from the weekend:
Mark and Brooklyn at Mark's baby blessing.
Dinner and Fire!
One of my favorite illustrations at the art museum.
Just cute!
Will, Bailey and I all have matching VANS and Bailey got a picture of us all wearing them.
Hanging around in the art museum was a blast! Can't you see the smile!
This was the coolest water sculpture and Hayden almost got dunked by Will, but was saved by his sister at the last second!

Grandpa was such a good sport, he read to Bailey and Brooklyn the whole time while Grandma, Will and I walked around and talked about all of the illustrators.

Grandpa and Grandma had to go home but Will and I could not be more excited to see them over Christmas. I am ready to be in California!

Post-it-Notes

I should be sponsored by POST-IT-NOTES!
I use these wonderful inventions all the time. I am sure Will is so annoyed with all my lists on these wonderful colored notes. (I like the yellow ones, but the colored ones just make me smile so much more!)
I use them at school, I stick them on messy desks with the note "clean me", I write notes in the car and stick them on the windows and radio display, for Will on the mirror in the bathroom, for basically anything that can be turned into a list! I should get them to sponsor me - in life.

Love the Notes!

School Pictures

Who remembers SCHOOL PICTURE DAY? Who remembers HATING school picture day?
Who recalls the people taking the pictures telling stupid jokes like:
Why was the turtle shy? ...He was scared to come out of his shell. (Really, this is supposed to make you smile...)

I started teaching five years ago. I thought that my days of school pictures were over. But alas, no. They take pictures of the teachers now too. Which wouldn't be that bad except that they give us a complimentary package of 8x10's, 5x7's, 2x3's, wallets, and stickers - oh yeah and this year they threw in some weird colored trimmed picture, and a black & white beauty. Honestly, who do I give these pictures to?

So as the teacher of a cute bunch of 6th graders... on picture day I truly know what it is like to feel like one of them.
